Hello,

I'm Rossana, I'm 22 and I'm from Italy I participated in the “Sport Volunteer” project in Sorgun, Turkey in June 2023. I was engaged in the project for one month.

In this month, together with other young people, both Italian and Turkish, I have organized sports activities for the local youth. Every week we gathered in a gymnasium to play volleyball, badminton, bocce. On Wednesdays we organized English courses for young people who wanted to learn a new language. On Saturday we went trekking. I met many people, a new culture and had the opportunity to practice sports that I had never practiced before.

I thank the founder of the Italian association "Scambieuropei ESC" Stefano, and that of the Turkish association "Sorged" Halil, without them it would not have been possible to do all this. It was a fantastic experience. I had fun, I helped young people understand the importance of playing sports and maintaining a healthy lifestyle. I too learned a lot from them. After this experience I know that I also have a Turkish family.

I recommend everyone to make this a project.
