Hello, I am Can Berk. I went to Italy as a volunteer of the 'I am a sports volunteer' project. I really had the opportunity to get to know Italy and its culture in this project, which was completed in July.

I've been to Italy before, but going voluntarily was a completely different experience. I got along very well with the Italians who volunteered there like me and we did a lot of different activities.

I had the opportunity to try sports that I had not tried before and I really enjoyed it. I had the opportunity to get to know people from different cultures, and in this way, I both added a lot to myself and added a lot of my own culture to the people in front of me. I really felt the awareness of being a team in the sports we do, especially in team sports, and it added a different perspective to me. Because generally I am a person who deals with individual sports like boxing and fitness.

However, being a part of a team sport and really being successful in that sport is a different experience. Apart from that, volunteering in Italy was a really good experience and I contributed a lot myself. So, in summary, I visited many touristic and historical places, and I also took part in many different positions voluntarily. I took a responsibility in team sports, tried to meet people's expectations, I learned to say not only me, but us. I would like to thank all my volunteer friends and coordinators for making this a good experience.
